Privacy Policy
This explains what Mobile JobCard collects, how it's used, and how it's protected. Because each shop owner hosts their own backend, the shop owner is the data controller for their customers' information.
01Information We Collect
- Shop details: business name, address, city, and GST number
- Staff details: name, mobile number, and role/designation
- Customer details: name, mobile number, address, and email (optional)
- Device and job details: brand, model, IMEI, problem description, screen lock information (collected solely for repair purposes), photographs, and videos
- Identity and ownership documentation: Aadhaar number, bill number, and associated photos or statement videos, where provided
- Payment records and khata (credit ledger) balances
- Mobile number used for OTP verification during registration and login
02How We Use This Information
- To create and track job cards from drop-off to delivery
- To communicate job status to customers
- To manage staff accounts and permissions
- To record payments and outstanding balances
- To maintain a documented record of device handovers for transparency
03Where Your Data Is Stored
- Mobile JobCard is self-hosted: data is stored on the shop owner's own server and database, not a third-party cloud platform we operate. Security of that server, including backups and access control, is the responsibility of the shop owner running it.
04Third-Party Services
- arrangement while SMS delivery is finalized
- Customer notifications use messaging apps already installed on the staff member's device (WhatsApp, SMS) — we do not store their content
05Your Rights
- Customers may contact the shop directly to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal information
- Shop owners may delete customer or job records directly, subject to any retention requirements under applicable law
06Data Sharing
- We do not sell or share information with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Data is only shared with the limited services above, strictly to provide the functionality described.
